I'm a singer, fascinated by acoustical interaction between voice and other stuff. I enjoy making my hot water radiator respond to a C sharp. I just got a couple of light rolled-brass dan mois, and found them very sensitive to sung notes. My examples are rather long for the JHG audio page, but if you're interested, they are the 1st and 3d tracks at http://www.archive.org/details/PersonalFolkLegacy-2 (numbered 20 and 22 because this is a continuation). I'm pretty sure that others have done this sort of thing, particularly those who do throat/harmonic singing. But, the examples I've found so far are more like voice accompanied by harp, and don't have intense cross-modulation. I'll be interested in comments, and also in advice regarding what sorts of harps are most sensitive to such vocal interaction. I think that the lightness of the rolled-brass dan moi's reed has a lot to do with it, but I'm not sure.
