Hi, I'm a complete newbie to the instrument, so forgive me if my question seems a bit stupid. When I play, am I supposed to hear the sound as other people hear it? Right now, I hold it like I've seen in all the instructions and pluck it like I've seen, but I can't hear any sound with my ears. It's a bit like playing an electric guitar unplugged. Is this the way the player is supposed to hear it?
